Now the whole world is in the hands of the internet. Through which we can easily exchange thoughts from one end of the world to the other end. And Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms. But the benefits of using Facebook as well as losses are being faced by many. No one is misinterpreting or misusing Facebook as a result of which they are being tarnished under the Information Communication and Technology Act. If any person is convicted of this crime under Section 57 of the Act, then imprisonment will be for seven years from four years to fourteen years. At the same time, a fine of up to a million taka can also be fined.
Information Technology Act
The government passed the Information Communication and Technology Act in 2006 to prevent misuse of various media on the Internet. But the government has amended the Information Technology Act (ICT) in 2013 to prevent the misuse of social media in Bangladesh. If any crime is committed under section 40 of the Act, the concerned Police Officer can immediately inform the concerned District Magistrate and initiate an investigation by filing a case.
Section 21 of the Act says that any criminal, person or organization of any kind of Facebook, Skype, Twitter or the Internet will be able to present the law enforcement agencies as evidence of crime-related discussions and interactions or offenses related to static and video guilt. Notwithstanding anything to the evidence law, it will be acceptable to the court for the sake of the case. Apart from this, according to Article 57 of the Act, if the information is given against any person or organization, he will be punished with a maximum of 14 years and a minimum of seven years. At the same time, a fine of up to a million taka can be fined. Under this law, crime-related talks and related stereoscopic and video images of any media of Facebook, Twitter, Skype or the Internet will be enforceable in court.

Which is regarded as an offense on Facebook
According to information linking and technology law on Facebook, which are punishable-
1. False and obscene things can not be used on Facebook, which can be degraded by any person reading, seeing and hearing.
2. Nothing can be done to defame someone due to a status or tag.
3. No such thing can be written through which law and order deterioration.
4. Some articles and tags can not be tagged through which the image of the state and the person is damaged.
5. There can not be anything that can hurt anyone's caste, color and religious feelings.
To do
If a person makes fake Facebook account or Twitter ID embarrassed or harasses the original user and if the person is afraid that he may face social, economic and occupational damage then he (Govt) can do a GD with the victim. If you are making a general diary, you will not be held responsible due to someone using anybody's name to commit an offense. As he had already made GD in the police station. If you are having problems like this and the problem is of a great deal, you can also file a case under the Information Communication and Technology Act.
