If you are defamed, you will have to file a complaint with the nearest police station under Section 57 of the Information and Communication Technology Act-2003 (Amended 2013). On the basis of that complaint, if the police gets the authenticity of the incident initially, then it can be arrested or arrested by treating someone as a case. At the end of the detention, the police will be able to appeal to the person for remand or imprisonment.
Apart from this, the police will investigate the entire complaint. In the investigation report, the police will submit the charge sheet of the accused in the court if the facts of the incident are authentic. After receiving the charge sheet, the person charged with the cyber crime tribunal will be judged. If the complaint is proved then the court will penalize.
