On Thursday, the 10 lawyers of the Rangpur court will go to the court for bail. They went to the Rangpur Central Jail on Wednesday and signed Titu Roy in the court.
Advocate Rothish Chandra Bhowmik, general secretary of the general secretary of Rangpur Lawyers Association, and Rothish Chandra Bhaumik, general secretary of Rangpur Puja Samiti, said that 10 lawyers have been appointed for the Rangpur Puja Udjapan Parishad, Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, Blast and Sammilita Sangskritik Jote.
Because of police's non-cooperation, these lawyers did not meet Tithu for two days. On 6th November, businessman Raju Ahmed of Rangpur's Sailahabad area filed a case against Titu Roy on Thakurpara alleging insulting religion and filed a complaint with the Gangachara Police Station under the Information Technology Act.
On November 10, the protesters set fire to 11 Hindu houses of Thakurpara and vandalized 15 homes. Police fired tear gas shells and tear gas to bring the situation under control. At least 25 people were injured in the gunfight with one killed and seven policemen injured. Titu was arrested on 14th November.
